Have them keep a sleep log for 2 weeks. Most of them are probably in a serious 
state of sleep debt, especially if yours is a school, like most, that starts at 
an ungodly time for teenagers going through a circadian shift. They are 
probably not "asleep" until 1 or 2 am. Make sure they keep track of when they 
fall asleep and not when their parents make them go to bed.

There are great web resources just by googling sleep deficit or sleep debt. You 
could also break them into groups and let them do presentations on different 
aspects of sleep.
