Department is seeking candidates for the following positions:

 
PSYCHOLOGY FACULTY POSITIONS: The Department of Psychology at James Madison
University is seeking several tenure-track faculty members to begin August,
2008: (1) Large-class specialist; experienced assistant or
associate-professor level.  This faculty member will typically teach two
300-student sections of General Psychology each semester. To apply go to

(2) Additional positions at the assistant-professor level, contingent upon
funding.  These faculty will be expected to regularly teach Developmental
Psychology, Life-Span Human Development and/or Cultural Psychology.  Our
department also needs faculty prepared to teach Personality or advanced
undergraduate courses in the domains of Clinical or Counseling Psychology.
Candidates who demonstrate a strong interest in undergraduate education, who
can engage students in scholarship, and be a mentor for undergraduate

courses in the faculty member's area of expertise, and/or supervision
student research are possible and strong interest in general education and
service are important. Faculty members are expected to develop an active
program of scholarship. These faculty will serve as academic advisers to
Psychology Majors and contribute to service activities of the department and
university.  Participation in our M.A. in our Psychological Sciences Program
and/or our Behavior Analysis Concentration is also possible.  Applicant
