Department of Psychology

 

POSITION:

Probationary tenure track faculty position in the Department of Psychology at 
the rank of Assistant Professor beginning August 18, 2008. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Doctorate or ABD in Psychology from a regionally accredited higher education 
institution is required.  ABD applicants must complete the terminal degree by 
the time of the first performance review (March 20, 2009). 

                Area of Specialty:  Open

                Area of Concentration: Statistics

Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate introductory and advanced 
statistical methods and graduate courses in statistical methods to master's 
level School Psychology students is required.  Commitment to involving 
undergraduate students in collaborative research is also expected. The ability 
to enhance the diversity of the department and serve as a role model and mentor 
for women and/or minorities will be considered an asset.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Applicants will be expected to teach courses as assigned in the Department of 
Psychology, participate in research and scholarly activities, provide academic 
advising to students as assigned, engage in service to the university and 
community, and participate in department, college, and university committee 
work.

 

DEPARTMENT:

Fifteen full time faculty members in the Department represent a broad range of 
specialty areas.  We serve over 500 undergraduate liberal arts majors and 20
