Gary- or they are expressing disappointment at our level of teaching-related 
posts lately. :)

If you don't know the community and its "quirks" (hey, who you calling a 
quirk?) and just jump in for a few minutes it probably doesn't look so 
"psychological". But I do agree with you that Bill asked for direct email not 
just "hit reply". So you may be right that it doesn't reflect high level 
processing at its finest. Hmmmm.
