The obituary unaccountably failed to mention that Washoe is also known
for biting off the finger of the neurosurgeon Karl Pribram, one of the
authors (with George Miller and Eugene Galanter)  of "Plans and the
Structure of Behavior", on most undergraduate psychology course reading
lists in my day.

Some critics can be really vicious when they don't like a book.
