Many things are on the list of potential Ig Nobel prize winners.
No further comment, your honor.

I don't find the numbers suspicious, though. A lap dance only goes on
for the length of a song. Even at five minutes, this means 25 minutes
per day per woman. Hardly onerous hours. I'd sort of wonder what else
they might be doing, if you postulate an average 6-hour shift, say.

I do suspect a better title for the article might have been, "I Think
That Stripper Really Liked Me." And as usual, The Onion got there
first:

I'm just a wee bit suspicious of the circumstances/variables/subjects. 18
women? From the same strip club? To continue on...5300 lap dances in 60
days? That breaks down to 5 gigs a day, per woman. Those are busy girls.
And that's not even granting them the bonus of the famous "Never on Sunday"
rule.... They must be so exhausted, it's a wonder they ovulate at all. To
say nothing of Nancy M.'s astute observation that counting the amount of $$
they make is hardly analogous to how willing they'd be to initiate
intercourse. Robin Abrahams, are you taking note for next year's IgNobel?
This might be a winnah!!
