I am an advocate of what can be done educationally with computer techonolgy. Witness Chris Green's PsychClassics site and "This Week" podcasts. But it is clear that many of our students do not understand how to use some of these technological advances reasonably. They think they are eating properly because they eat 3 different kinds of chocolate during the day and school administrations congratulate themselves because they can offer such an enticing menu.

Most schools offer an academic-success course in the freshman year. One topic that needs to be covered is how to deal with all of the attention-grabbing technology.
