I wonder if anyone would be able to steer me in the right direction. I was reading an article in National Geographic about the factors that enable some people to live very long lives. Besides exercise and eating right of course, the article mentions that some of these people have very strong religious beliefs (perhaps more generally, they have a strong sense of purpose). The article made me think of Rollo May, but beyond that, does anyone know of any research on this link between a sense of purpose and a long life?
