For those of you still interested in this ancient question, there's a
fresh go at it in the current issue of _Review of General Psychology_
(Rofe, 2008). And for those of you waiting for the major motion picture,
the short answer is "no". [In psychospeak, this becomes "This
comprehensive evaluation reveals little empirical justification for
maintaining the psychoanalytic concept of repression"].

Obviously, the author is repressing something.

Rofe, Y. (2008). Does repression exist? Memory, pathogenic, unconscious
and clinical evidence. _Review of General Psychology_, 12, 63-85
