My husband is not Canadian-born. (Massachusetts born and bred.) But he's a "Canuck." (So am I.) A "Canuck" is a "French-Canadian-American." This is often a disparaging description here, though fellow-Canucks can refer to themselves with this title without disparagement.go figure! And he does speak French, though he'd beg to differ that it's "perfect" and I didn't say he spoke it perfectly (nor that he was Canadian-born). Michael, we love ya, but you do tend to skim and pick out "facts" from what appeals to you, methinks. And we get a good laugh out of the BenWAH/BenOYT pronunciations/mispronunciations.
