I was wondering what tipsters have seen as far as interesting/strange/fun Psych 
Club t-shirt logos or designs.  I often lecture about the general 
misconceptions the public has about psychology;  that psychologists are all 
therapists, that Freud is the father of Psych, etc.  As I was going over such 
misconceptions, I noticed students in my class with Psych Club t-shirts that 
tend to promote such misconceptions.  One shirt has some reference to id and 
egos, and another said something about psychologists do it better on the couch. 
 I was a bit flummoxed, but just laughed it off. 
       I began to wonder....I was wondering what kinds of images, stereotypes, 
or pop-psych ideas about psychology are promoted in other psych departments.  
Could there be sexy or catchy t-shirt ideas that might better represent 
psychology?   The t-shirt isn't for educating the campus community but 
represents a campus Club's identity.  Such ideas remain popular among our 
students---whether about Dr. Phil, Freud, or associating psych with clinical 
work.  Perhaps such items as t-shirts would not sell unless they fit with 
pop-culture ideas?   Gary
