I am admit to being somewhat confused about the reasons for
why this was posted. I assume that it has something to do with
finding "brain eating amoebas" (naegleria fowleri) funny, however,
I would wager that the following website might have been a little
bit funnier (maybe):

http://www.allheadlinenews.com/articles/7011125031
(especially with the "BiggerBras" side ad).

But even so, given that infection by this "bug" is almost invariably
fatal, I miss the humor. It is a rare problem but was originally
found in Autralia and is present worldwide. The following article
seems to cover a the topic well:
http://www.emedicine.com/MED/topic1582.htm

Wikipedia has a nice little entry on naegleria fowleri, including pop
culture references to it (e.g., in the TV series House) see:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naegleria_fowleri

Maybe I'm missing something? Or is this just a bad joke?
