I'm wondering if and/or how various departments use exit exams. I know
that they can be used to measure department effectiveness as a whole.
However, does anyone use them to measure individual student achievement?
Do your students have to pass a standard (or perhaps one of your
department's design) exam in order to meet graduation requirements?
If so, what type of test do you use and how do you determine the cutoff
score for "passing". If students do not pass what are the consequences
for the student? Feel free to respond on or off list. Thanks.
