If you were planning to travel during the summer to various sites in North
America as a History of Psychology field trip, where would you go? Are there
particular sites that have museums or visual displays associated with them that
could make a useful adjunct to some associated readings? I ask this in
preparation for proposing for next summer a class that would involve travel for
a few weeks to various sites of historical importance to the history of
psychology.

Or, what if the trip were to involve travel to Europe for a few weeks in the
summer? What locations would you suggest for a European travel-based History of
Psychology class?

Finally, what about a travel experience in cross-cultural psychology? First,
there would be a number of readings done in preparation for the trip and then
we would visit researchers around the world who are doing work in
cross-cultural psychology and then have students reflect on and discuss their
cross-cultural experiences in light of the research they read and heard. Does
anyone have any specific suggestions for readings or travel locations for such
a class?

Thanks,

Rick
