Ed, Dragon Speak is a great program, I've used it with my kids who have handwriting problems and it really helped them with written work and tests. One problem I found is that you need to speak very clearly during the training so your voice is understood by DS (Beth Benoit will confirm this as she was the lucky recipient of one of my early DS emails). If you have a particular vocal inflection, like a regional accent, DS will tell you it's not picking you up cleanly. For example, it doesn't understand y'all and if you drop word endings, as I do, being a good northern Michigander, it shows as a misspell, but they can all be corrected orally. It was sad when it was taken off my computer, because we were spoiled by it. I think you'll enjoy using it.
May your surgery go well. Jodi Jodi Gabert Reed City HS _________________________________________________________________ Got Game?
