There is an interesting story in today's NY Times on the efforts of some people in the comic book industry (i.e., Neal Adams, Joe Kubert, and Stan Lee) to help the concentration camp survivor Dina Babbitt get back watercolors she made while in the camp for Josef Mengele. The watercolors are currently in the possession of a Polish museum which is refusing to return them to Mrs. Babbitt. After the war Mrs. Babbit came to the U.S. and became an assistant animator for Hollywood studios.
Neal Adams has put together a six-page comic that summarizes Mrs. Babbitt's life story and this is available as a PDF on the NYT website.
