Both were personality theorists but they never seemed to have received much recognition.One of these mentioned needs and presses which could be aligned with McDougal's instinct theory,but American psychology was not going that route. Is it because Murray and Sullivan ideas were too limited in scope to receive attention? And while on this topic,the Russian Vygotsky (sp) has some excellent ideas e developmental issues but appears to be lightly covered.Could this be construed to imply that our anti-Putin mindset has contributed to this?
