The difference between Asch and Milgram is that Asch's study was conformity as agreement whereas Milgram's was conformity as obedience.There was an extension to the Milgram study (Rosenhahn) where subjecys were in a group and had the opportunity to observe members shocking the confederate.Some sublexts walked away from the experiment when they observed that some subjects walking away(modeling).
