This and other tales of "irrational exuberance"  (see:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irrational_exuberance ) can be
"profitably" used in courses when covering the application of optimistic 
coping styles under conditions of limited knowledge of how terrible
the environment has and will become.

Y'know, like our current times.

It may also be helpful to people who teach courses in "Postive
Psychology" from a contrarian perspective. ;-)
