Just for the historical record, a child being told not to eat candy from a bowl
while investigator was out of the room was also shown in a an NET series (Focus
on behavior) film called "The conscience of a child" ca. 1963. It featured the
work of Robert Sears who, at the time, was at Stanford and featured a little
boy named Eddie who was unable to resist temptation. Eddie would be about 50
years old now. I wonder what's ever happened to him. As I recall, little
girls not only resisted the candy, but told other little girls not to partake.
Eddie and his same-sex friends dug right in after practically no time at all.
