My daycare worker explained to me the other day that a while back she put up one of those low gates that you put in a doorway so that young children won’t be able to leave the room. Recently the gate broke, but she decided to just lean the gate up against the doorway anyway because “the kids don’t know it’s broke and they don’t try to get past the gate anyway.”
Has she been talking with Martin Seligman…? Makes you wonder if shocking all those dogs was really necessary after all…. By the way, No one took me up on my invite to record your thoughts on my website about what you love/hate about research. Are we a shy crowd?
