I've been primarily lurking since my first year of graduate school ~spring '94
on recommendation from my college advisor (also a lurker who has long since
retired and is most certainly off list- Michael Britt will remember Royce
White).

One of my earliest memories of TIPS is somebody forwarding a slightly
hysterical message to the list to be on the look out for two missing children
(which sadly ended with the confession of the mother Susan Smith).

I also remember very long posts from a history professor...

many thanks to Bill Southerly and all the rest.
