I've been primarily lurking since my first year of graduate school ~spring '94 on recommendation from my college advisor (also a lurker who has long since retired and is most certainly off list- Michael Britt will remember Royce White).
One of my earliest memories of TIPS is somebody forwarding a slightly hysterical message to the list to be on the look out for two missing children (which sadly ended with the confession of the mother Susan Smith).
