I'm puzzled by this. On any list, especially such a large, active, and
diverse one as this, it's only to be expected that some of us find posts
from one or possibly a few individuals either of little interest or
frankly objectionable.

If we value the rest of the contributions, surely the rational solution
is not to stomp off publicly and deprive ourselves of the list, but
merely to hit the delete key when a post from Mr./Ms. Objectionable shows
up. What could be simpler? If even that's too much trouble, it can
easily be arranged to be done automatically. And there's no need to
announce your decision in public. I don't want to know whose hit lists
I'm on, and I don't want to know about those for anyone else either. I
think Miss Conduct would agree.

The delete key: For when you want to read of fewer things between heaven
and earth than are dreamed of in your philosophy.
