This 47 year old Scottish spinster brought down the house at the British version of American Idol. Her voice was magnificient. She is definitely a star sensational singer. She said that she has never been kissed and never had a boyfriend. The offers are coming in.Who would ever think that this woman from Blackburn,Scotland would become a global sensation overnight? Anyway, would her motivation for success be construed (no pun intended) as a form of the Freudian defense mechanism of "sublimation"? And interestingly enough, maybe Christopher,Alan, and Stuart (British islespersons and Freudian die-hards on Tips) can share some light on the question posed. Btw,is there a Canadian equivalent to American idol? And would the language police ensure that renditions are in both English and French? I can't imagine Celine Dion's "My heart will go on" in French. Anyway Susan "You go girl"!
