After consuming asparagus some people can smell asparagus in their urine, while others are unable to smell it. Apparently, there is a genetic basis for this.Tipsters may want to introduce this project as a lesson in genetics in class: bring bowls of cooked asparagus (asparagi?) for the class to eat and ask them to note if they smell the asparagus in their urine. Some may, others may not. This could make a good class discussion.I am in the process of investigating if this genetic ability is correlated with academic predictions.I will keep tipsters posted on my research.
