Subject: Philosophy of Darwin Conference���


The University of Birmingham is proud to host a one-day Royal Institute of
Philosophy conference. To coincide with the 200th anniversary of Darwin's
birth and the 150th anniversary of the publication of 'On the Origin of
Species', the conference will include talks on his philosophy as well as
the philosophy of biology more generally. The speakers will be Samir
Okasha (Bristol), Gregory Radick (Leeds) and Ulrich Stegmann (KCL).

The workshop will be held on Wednesday June 10th 2009. Advanced bookings
will cost ��15 (��7 concessionary rate to students and unemployed). Payment
on the day will be ��20 (although the ��7 concessionary rate remains the
same). Bookings can be made either by using the University of Birmingham
on-line shop
