Obviously psychobabble .. it's by an MD who is probably very well versed in 
his/her field of specialty but this is not one of them! Interesting how the 
"fork" was described - "culture" pushing a boy away from the mother, given that 
there is a classic Freudian interpretation for the distancing (Allen is the 
expert, I won't attempt to even summarize it). I also get ticked off whenever I 
hear about the "revolution" in fathering - I wish I had $.05 for every 
revolution that wasn't. Not that I am against nurturing fathers, I am quite 
familar with single father parenting .... but once, just once, I would like to 
see the issue discussed with real data ....
