There is somewhat of an underlying social psychology of race about the current concerns of health care.Way way back a study of white and black High school students showed that white students took threats from black students more seriously than if the same threats came from other white students. In other words, pronouncements made by black students were more likely to be viewed with negative intent. I suspect Obama may be resurrecting that same underlying process.Would the current reactions emanate if the president was white? Although there was debate about medicare abnd medicaid, these were passed under white leadership.Alot of people believe that Obama will take guns awayand gun purhases have increased;but gun control legislation has been proposed many times in the past without the current frenzy in gun purchases. So i "race matters" despite the facts.
