Has anyone read Jill Bolte Taylor's _My Stroke of Insight_? I saw her TED talk, and have assigned that as one of the texts for my "Self" freshman writing/speaking/critical-thinking courses. (We're piloting a new gen ed curriculum, and this is one of those.)

Had he had a second, perhaps more serious stroke shortly after the first one (which often happens), the results could have been much more tragic for him and perhaps others.
