Though all of this episode is unfortunate and I agree that the legal and moral
issues should outweigh the creative, I think you unfairly categorize the
defending of Polanski as "Hollywood". I've seen the petition going around on
the internet that claims to have 100 elite signatories (and yes Mr Allen is one
of them as is Scorsese, apparently) but there have been a flurry of interviews
showing actors, directors, producers and others in the business and the
industry who have the same opinion you expressed. So no, Hollywood does not
support him. (Neither, btw, does it look like France and Poland are remaining
in his corner. Both have released statements in the last day or so that
distance them from the original statements of individual ministers who
condemned the arrest and have stated that justice and law supersede other
issues).

Garth Brooks has a song about "hriends in low places." Well, accused child
molester
Roman Polanski can sing about having friends in high places such as Hollywood
who is coming to his defense.I could not believe Woody Allen is one of these.I
guess "birds of a feather flocked together." Woody Allen also did an underage
girl.
Let us put Polanski in jail and throw away the keys.
