A couple of comments and questions about stats/methods videos:
I have access to the Against All Odds series and decided not to use it because
it uses Greek notation. I realize that most people probably teach stats using
Greek notation, but I use a text by Aron and Aron that does not. I don't want
to confuse the students by showing them videos that use a notation different
from the text. So having said that - can anyone specifically recommend a
statistics/methods video series that does not use Greek notation?
I searched the www.pbs.org site for the NOVA: Secrets of the Psychics video
featuring Randi, but it wasn't among the NOVA videos listed at the shopPBS
site. I've emailed PBS asking about it but I figured I'd ask TIPS too - do you
know where else I might look for it? I talk about him in several classes and
would be very interested in finding out more about the video.
Thanks!
