Hello,
Two years ago I wrote to this list asking for ideas on student evaluations. My
institution is stuck with them, so I don't need to hear about the invalidity
of student ratings again! I am once again looking for information, but this
time I'm more interested in number crunching. If anyone has at their school or
knows of a place using on-line or web-based student evaluations, I would be
interested in that. If your ratings are done on an outside form (like the IDEA
form), what latitude (if any)is permitted in how the numbers are crunched? Are
any of you getting anything other than raw means? We're especially interested
in the use of adjusted ratings that take into account biases in student
ratings such as grading leniency and class size.
Please reply offlist to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and thanks for your help.
Sincerely,
--Steve
