Apparently there is new MS-Word Macro Virus running around that effects
email...

The email message that is received has a subject line about information
concerning <username> (or something to that effect where <username> tends
to be valid usernames). There is a MS-Word document attached to the message
that contains the Macro virus. Even though it is recieving a lot of
attention as an email virus, it is really a macro virus being sent via email.

When you open the document in Word (with Macros enabled) the macros virus
pulls the first 50 or so names from your Outlook address list and sends
them an email. This virus only appeared a few days ago, but has made it's
way onto a couple of other lists. I guess it would technically be more of
a worm than a virus, but these days those distinctions in naming appear to
have disappeared. Anyway, just something to watch out for if you:

1) use MS-Word with macros enabled
2) use the address book in outlook express
3) open attachments sent to you that might contain information you never
requested...

Take care...
