Regarding tips for presenting graphical information:

FYI: There is an article on graphical guidelines in the journal
_Human Factors_. It is compact (13 pages) and contains several examples of
good vs. bad graphical presentations of data. I use it as a supplement in a lab
course of mine:

Gillan, D.J., Wickens, C.D., Hollands. J.G. & Carswell, C.M. (1998).
Guidelines for presenting quantitative data in HFES publications.
_Human Factors, 40,_ 28-41.

(HFES= Human Factors and Ergonomics Society)
