Ah, but a very useful one for those of us who asked the questions in the
first place. Thanks - especially for including references. Thanks as well to
the others who responded to my question about the capacities of the sensory
stores. The well-informed consensus seems to be that the book I'm using
(which claims a very limited capacity) is simply wrong, as I'd suspected in
the first place. I'm very relieved - if they'd changed their minds about
that, I'd have a HELL of a time making sense of what I believe about memory
and perception.
