In the past few days I heard on the radio (NPR?) about a proposal before a
legislative body in California (don't remember if it was a city council or
state legislature) to prohibit spanking of children by their parents.
Apparently it was voted down, but after considerable debate.
Can anyone supply some details about this? Should be wonderful fodder for
discussion in Intro about punishment that we'll be getting to next week.
