I have a senior who is doing some really excellent work in the spaces
between psychology and philosophy. For instance, one of her senior exams
is on differences in self-awareness among people, and another is an
investigation about the relaitonship between accurate introspection and
virtue.
She is relatively uninterested in the data-hound sorts of things most
psychologists do, but would like to pursue her investigations in graduate
school. So, can folks out there in TiPs-land give me some suggestions
about graduate programs in "philosophical psychology"? I suspect
"humanistic psychology" would come close and be acceptable. I know of a
program in phenomenological psych at Duesquene, and have heard of a similar
program in Texas (U of Huston?) but have no more knowledge.
Any help greatly appreciated.
