This ink thing IMHO is ridiculous. The world grades us much more
critically than anything conveyed by a pen color. I would prefer we
helped our students grow up a little rather than coddle them through
pc nonsense. Perhaps, I would not have any more experiences like the
following. Ran into a former student at homecoming.
me- "How's it going?"
him- "Great until a few weeks ago. I was fired."
me- "What happened?
him- "Just becaus I didn't come in three fridays in a row, they canned
me."
He was really shocked. Seems in college, he could always blow off
friday classes if the weather was nice, and he expected the "real
world" to be the same.
