Tipsters 

I would like to know what the situation in other countries (especially the US) is 
concerning the following:

What percentage of colleagues in your Department/Departments that you know 
of 

*   also studied in the same Department where they were appointed?

*   only studied at one University, i.e. completed their undergraduate and 
graduate studies at the same University? 

It seems that there is no official data in this regard.  I would therefore 
also appreciate estimates.
