I just wonder how we would look at each other and talk with each other if
we stopped shouting at each other in the extremes; if we all got rid of
the mutual denigrating stereotypes and pontificating self-righteousness
that we bring to bear when it is convenient and we want to proclaim that
we are always in the right: scientists are unscrupulous, unethical,
ungodly Dr.  Frankensteins to be feared; religious people are
close-minded, rabid, superstitous, bigoted, anachronistic, anti-progress
inquisitionists to be feared.
