was there a follow-up study to this?and were there any significant
differences between the baptized and the apostate?
I spent a year studying to be a Trappist monk at the Abbey of Gethsemani
in Kentucky under the world renowned contemplative Thomas Merton.
The monastic experience certainly had some impact on how I structure my
life, namely, the benefits of communality and anti-materialism.
I am not sure about the benefits of prayer, but I really
dig Gregorian chant.
