Rob et.al.,
I just returned from the AAHE Conference on Assessment (great conference !!).
Craig Lending and P.MIchael Fox of SUNY College at Brockport highly
recommended the WBT software called TopClass for online, automated
testing/survey data collection:

Training Management Solution
</A>
You can try this flexible software at the SUNY site for testing computer
literacy at:

Literacy Exam
</A>
Any name and password will allow you access to the site. Then you can take
the sample test to try the various formats supported by this software. There
are more options available, but this is a start.
