Since the Manchurian Candidate was based on a novel, and to my knowledge there has
never been a real event similar to what was portrayed (hypnotically controlled
murder and a post hypnotic suggestion resulting in an assassination attempt), to
use it might just be promoting inaccurate ideas that the public has about
hypnosis.
Hopefully the book "This Present Darkness" will be made into a movie that we all
can use. It portrays a fundamentalist minister who battles an occult conspiracy
led by a woman psychology professor and a legion of demons.
