The pretest asks the students to write about themselves as a "gendered
person". They are asked to discuss a minimum of three factors and to give
examples.

The post test asks them to write about the development of a woman in the
contemporary US.
The grade is based on the discussion of a minimum of five independent
factors, (10 for a A), the prevalence and importance of teh factors, a
personal example of the influence of the factor, eveidence from class
discussion or reading, quotations or paraphrases from professional sources,
Comparisons with at least on other culture and a summary of concusions.

Hi,

In your response to a posting regarding psychology of women, you mentioned
an assessment technique in which you used a pre and post test to measure
student's growth and comprehension. I was wondering if you could provide me
with a little more information about this measure. What questions do you
ask to measure growth and how do you assess the student responses?

Thanks for your help!

~Lori
