Is this necessarily true.  Might there be some other factor that leads to 
both the behavior AND the conscious experience.  The latest issue of the 
American Psychologist has a number of articles dealing specifically with 
this issue.  (I would give more detailed references but I am at home and my 
journal is at school.)
