To Rip, and others, who find such questions interesting, I
urge you to subscribe to the journals, "Skeptical Inquirer"
and "Skeptic", and to check out the following books:
Gilovich, "How We Know What Isn't So"
Shermer, "Why People Believe Weird Things"
Randi, "Flim Flam"
Sagan, "The Demon-Haunted World"
There are also several subscribers to this listserve that
teach undergraduate courses in this area, if you're ever
interested in doing the same (I'm embarking on my first
such course in the Spring).
Best,
Mike

as it is not to care how you got your money as
