I tried this once and it worked alright. Basically, I told them a group I was going to lecture on a topic. They were to be quizzed on it right after. In addition, their notes on that lecture were to be graded right after. Listening and taking notes. The other group were to take the quiz, but not be graded on their notes. I had each group grade the other's quizzes and we put the results on the board. THe class responded very well. There are endless variations. RJ
