I can't help with the internships, but depending on the degree level (BA,
MA or Ph.D.) you might refer your student to either:
(BA & MA Level) Vermont College of Norwich University, Montpelier, VT
(Ph.D Level) The Union Institute, Cincinnatti, OH (http://www.tui.edu)
Both schools offer learner directed eductional programs which are fully
accredited and have good reputations academically.
