Steve:
I have recently installed "Excite" (www.excite.com) as my homepage (it's
free). They have a news-clipping service which allows one to
enter any number of keywords (mine are, among others, "psychology,"
"hypnosis," "eyewitness," and "Montreal Canadiens" ). I imagine that
other search engines (Canoe (CANadian Online Explorer), Yahoo, AltaVista,
etc.) have similar services. I'd appreciate hearing about other TIPSters
experiences with these.
One article was published today on the front page of Canada's
National Post newspaper, which you may be interested in linking:
http://www.nationalpost.com/news.asp?f=990818/56977
It involves the eyewitness research conducted by one of my departmental
colleagues at Wilfrid Laurier University, Dr. Bill Hockley.
By the way, there will probably be a good bit of psychology in the news
over the next week, given upcoming the APA convention in Boston.
Let me know if you'd like any additional info about these matters. I've
already bookmarked your web page, and plan to access it weekly! Thanks for
letting the TIPS list know about it.
