Dear TIPSters, Our department is trying to agree on suggestions/recommendations for extra credit research participation in General Psychology courses. As such, I would like to know what other departments are doing, and I would greatly appreciate hearing about your department's participant pool. I have a few (quick) questions listed below. Does your department have a research participant pool? 2. If so, is research participation (or an equivalent alternative) a requirement for General Psych or is it offered as extra credit? 3. Approximately how many hours of participation are students required/allowed to complete? 4. Approximately what percentage of the overall course grade does participation in research impact? 5. Does your department collect any reactions data from research participants to provide feedback to researchers? 6. In addition to research participation, what other alternative extra credit assignments do you offer? (In general).
